Right now, of course, everyone is talking about it and on Sunday, hopefully, the chocolates will be in mom’s mouth. 🙂 It’s about Mother’s Day, the day of the year that brings in more revenue for the flower industry than Valentine’s Day. But this day isn’t just about giving gifts, it’s also about taking some work off the loving mother’s hands and giving her a nice day.
Fun facts about Mother’s Day
- The founder of Mother’s Day, Anna Marie Jarvis, never became a mother herself.
- Anna Marie Jarvis later campaigned for the abolition of Mother’s Day because she despised the commercialization of the holiday. In 1923, she was arrested for disrupting a Mother’s Day celebration.

- In Austria, Mother’s Day was made popular largely by the Scout movement.
- „I’ll tell you straight away, I wasn’t it!“ The cult film “Mother’s Day” is broadcast every year on TV on Mother’s Day.
International Facts

We hope you already have the perfect personal gift for your mom and wish you a wonderful day with your (close) family. 😉
