Recently, you can find more and more videos on your timeline that are being recorded live and streamed via Facebook. This way, each of you can become a racing reporter who can share with your friends, for example, your favorite concert, an event, a unique occurrence, or other special moments.
The live feature offers some possibilities that I would like to show you in detail:
Posting a live video
There are different ways to publish videos. In your personal profile, the live video function is located under the camera symbol. Then you just need to adjust the privacy settings and the live video can be started.
The option to use the live video function for company pages is particularly interesting for marketing purposes. It is handled in a similar way to a private profile – log in with the admin profile, write a status and select the live video function.
As a third option, you can share live videos in Facebook groups. Another interesting option is sharing videos on event pages. The handling is identical to private use using the video symbol.
Go Live function
You have the option of adding different filters to the videos. There is also a comment function and you have the option to describe your video. If you click on the Go Live button, a countdown to the live performance appears.
Once you’re live, you can see the current number of viewers and the length of the video. The comments are displayed directly below. Once you’ve finished the video, Facebook offers the option of saving the video or uploading it as a fixed post to your Facebook page. This means you can watch the video again and again even after the live experience.
Reactions in the live video
Reactions can also be submitted live during the video broadcast. This means viewers can not only comment but also send their reactions.
reach
After the live video function has ended, you get an insight into the reach and the engagement rate. As soon as the video has been completed and placed in the timeline, you also have the option to promote the video accordingly.
That’s not all
As we know from Facebook, there will also be innovations in the live function. Among other things, work is being done on a live map function and a search function for specific subject areas.
